How quickly they grew...

 Feathers are developing quickly...
Wow! The difference of just a few days!
 Getting pretty crowded now...
 Curious, but nervous too...
Momma feeding her babes...
Alas... the babes have now flown the coop.  I plan to remove the egg that never hatched and hope she raises a second "batch" ~  Fun to watch!

What a difference a day makes!

Remember to click on the photos, to see them larger!  Amazing!!

My new "babies"

The robins were sure hanging around the nest this morning and I noticed "Dad" was bringing food to "Mom", so I went out for a peek... and look what I saw!
They were not impressed to have me near them (too close even with telephoto lens) so we will give them a wide berth for a while. Taking the dogs away from the yard for the day. Love watching them grow though... and they do it so fast!

Oh, how my girls love to run!
Amber - in her hair-blowing glory...
Even Brandy had the windswept look...

The side of Bella that I see the most of! lol

Flying down the road!

Signs of Spring...

Take one male robin
Add one female robin
And look what you get!!
So thrilled that my robins are back!
They nested in the windowbox of my shed... so I have set an expen up around them, to keep the dogs back. Unfortunately, everytime I go to my composter, it scares the birds off the nest - sure hope the eggs hatch!
Can you see Momma robin in there? Look carefully above the label on the pen, just below the white flower. Took this photo from my back door, with the telephoto lens.

Can you see double??

Kind of hard to tell, but two of Amber's children joined us for a walk.

Merlin (AKA Tobi) stands out in the crowd, but can you pick out Halley?

Sorry that all you get are butt ends, but they were not the least bit interested in co-operating with my picture-taking!

It is actually amazing how much Halley looks and acts like her Mom! Hope to get some better shots next time they visit!

Later the same day...

 Thankfully it melted away quickly!
Look what I woke to on the morning of 23 April!
The poor pansies were rather crushed...
The arctic willow was bowed right over by the weight of the wet snow...

The curly witch hazel was a pretty sight...
Bella was enjoying the drizzly rain~
Ah! My Bella's eyes sure brighten when she is out having fun!
It's so nice to see all the green returning! ;-)
Anyone know what this plant is called?  Pretty, eh?
They are never excited when it is time to head back to the car... lol

A Walk in the Forest

Trying to figure out how to use the new format blogger has imposed upon me here... Forgive the "mess" till I can figure it all out~
The girls and I went for a nice walk in the woods back on the 22nd of April
Amber and Bella leave Brandy and I in their dust!
Don't know why it is that kicking their feet up in the forest is just so much fun!
I spend most of my time just enjoying the peace and quiet...
and all the interesting smells, patterns and colors~
We could (and usually do) walk in there for hours...
