Warm temps equals snowballs!!

Ha ha... My Walking Snowmen! The downy softer hair of their legs is especially prone to "catching" the sticky snow... Tip for removing it - plunk them in your kitchen sink and shoot some warm water on the snowballs, from your vegetable sprayer~ Melts it fast!

Then squeeze most of the water off and use one of those super absorbant cloths (available at the dollar stores) to soak up the rest of the water.

My Bubble Girl!

Really looks like it is weighing her down, in this shot~

Anyone out there remember those funny white plastic "go-go" boots, from the 60's? ha ha

The babes were bouncing!

Something about playing in snow sure brings out the child in my dogs!

They were romping and bouncing and chasing all over...

Miss Bella hates to have someone "beat" her... she has such a competative spirit~ No idea where that comes from - cuz her Mom (Brandy) is a patient, cuddly "love bug" and I certainly do not have a competative nature!

Brandy and Amber were having a lot of fun as well...

But, it truly looked like Bella was diving into snowbanks (and then bouncing right back out) just for fun!

My Stubborn Girl~ Bella

Lhasas all have their personailties, for sure! As you have likely noticed, Bella is very "in your face" - she loves to run and play and has a huge stubborn streak. Not an easy dog for a first time owner, for sure, but just MY style. I love her to bits.

When she sets her mind to something, she wants - she goes all out for it! Plowing through the snow...

or climbing through the brambles. Ouch! Nasty on long hair...

They were really catching at her hair, and she stubbornly ignored my calls - she wanted to see if there was a mouse in that hole ahead. Of course, I was much more fearful!

Thankfully, it must have been empty, cuz she sniffed and then finally came running back to me... whew! She is teh one who tries to "catch" skunks! Shudder... it would be a LONG drive home!

The search continues...

Bella can be a stubborn girl... Once she gets the scent of something, she likes to hunt it down...

She prefers the little critters that make these tracks though~

They all had their noses in the snow for a good ten minutes rooting aroiund here... ha ha.

Even Amber, who is much more interested in keeping me in her sight lately, was buried in the snow banks.

She did not go too far away from Bella though - who has the strongest "hunter" instincts of my girls.

All of a sudden Bella froze and stared a little ahead of her...

She pounced before I even knew she planned to and was digging through that snow like crazy! Fortunately, they did not catch anything! I am NOT a fan of rodents...

Found a new place to Explore

The girls and I found a pretty new place to explore yesterday.

It had this lovely little river...

and thankfully, there was a plowed road I could walk on... while the girls stretched their legs.

There was no keeping them out of the woods though ! haha...

Think I will refer to this place as "The Crooked Woods". The tree formations were amazing...

Once we got to this point, the girls really got excited...

Their noses were working overtime!

Then Bella set off the path again...

Amber was right behind her...

Ah ha! Now I know what they were tracking... looks like fresh deer prints.

The Proud Grandma to be...

My darling daughter, Angela and her sweetie, Jason came to have Christmas dinner with me...

It is always so nice to have them visit... but this time was especially nice - because my daughter could take some pictures for me - to show you something special...

Don't know if any of you have noticed Amber's tummy, in recent pictures, so I thought I would just cuddle her for a while, so you can see what is happening here...

Yes! My darling girl AMBER is pregnant and due to have puppies around the 10th of January 2012... Can you tell how pleased I am?! I have really missed having little puppies around here...

Christmas Day~

Me: "Okay - I have a million things to do today girls, so run around and blow off some steam quickly and I'll just wait for you in the car... "

Brandy: What do you mean Mom? We NEED you to come with us"

Amber: "If you are not going, then neither am I!"

Me: "Okay, okay... but just a quick walk girls..."

Bella: Yeah! Follow me!! "

I swear - they have me wrapped around those darling little paws!! ha ha...

We Got Our White Christmas!!

The insides of our houses were all set and ready for Christmas...

Then Mother Nature decorated the outdoors for us too~

Everything looked so pretty and white...

Even my herb garden got it's special sprinkling ...

It was pure heaven on earth - to sit in my hot tub and enjoy soaking in the warm water and the beautiful scenery... I am so blessed!!
