Special Request...

This is a special request for all my friends who follow my blog and live nearby...

I am starting to get concerned for my little girls... This is the optimum time for them to be going to their forever homes and I worry that they will bond too closely to me (and me to them!) if they stay here much longer.

Several people who had "intended" to purchase pups this time around have backed out, due to health or financial issues (job loss) and I have yet to find homes for three of my girls... Gemma, Nina and Suzhi. These pups are adorable and would make excellent additions to anyone's home. If you know of anyone who is looking for a puppy, can you please pass my info on to them. If anyone is reading this and is interested in one of my gals, please call me - at 613-443-6373

I know that once the weather warms a bit and school is out for the year, there will be people looking for a puppy. Unfortunately, I cannot make them arrive at the optimum time and when people go looking, there will not be any to be found. So... if you are a Lhasa lover who is considering a purchase - give me a call and we'll see what we can work out...
Thanks!!

What a change the colder weather brings...

The poor gals didn't know what hit their drinking well! ha ha... water froze!

That icy wind brought out a flurry of running and jumping, for sure! Anything to warm up!

I am so proud of Amber for how much she helps me raise these little loves... She is always right there to play with, or scold a pup, if it gets unruly~ so helpful

My turn Mommy!! lol

Sorry gals, the water is still frozen! Gemma is watching the geese again... They sure do make a racket some mornings~

Guess the slippery stuff is fun to play with too!

Now can we go in girls?? Huh? Huh? Pretty please... They have fur coats on! Sure was icy cold for me!

Simple Things...

Dogs do not need expensive play toys... look how much fun they are having playing "tug" with Momma... (with an old rag)

Once she got them playing, Amber stepped back and let them play themselves~

Surprisingly, this "toy" lasted about ten minutes vs the "normal" 5!

When they came inside, it did not take them long to go to ground!
See Nina's new sleeping spot?? INSIDE the cat tunnel... lol

The girls - havin fun!

Cool air is making them all frisky!
Love watching them all play like this~
Hard to believe that Brandy is 9 yrs old when she is having so much fun!
Nina can be a right little imp at times~ but such an adorable one! lol

More from the 25th

Gemma sure likes the gentlmen! Fickle girl... I thought you were all mine!!

ha ha... Nina is an earlobe nibbler~

This little basin is to wash feet off before entering the hot tub, but when pups are around, it becomes a water bowl...

hmmm... wading pool?? lol

They seem to enjoy it anyway~

Pups playing...

Nina found this big branch I had trimmed from a tree and was prancing around my yard with it~

Then she noticed the bluejay, picking up some peanuts and dropped it, so she could go watch. Suzhi and Gemma stepped right in to haul the branch around...
Two seconds later, Nina was back and Ziggy joined in the fun too...
Guess they found that boring, cuz the wrestling matches were back on two minutes later...
Poor Amber was going as crazy as I was, trying to watch every direction...

Update

Took pups to the vets today, for their 12 week checkup - goodness! 12 weeks already!!! All are doing great. I am ex-hausted though! Too many late nights and not enough naps... Had company Friday, Sat, Sun, and Tuesday... I am going to bed real early (it's only 8 pm, but I don't care!!)
Hope we don't get more freezing rain and hail tomorrow morning... makes it hard to sleep and not fun to hang out with the pups in that!
Promise I will get back on here tomorrow and post more pictures of my sweeties - just need a good night of sleep...
Pups and I are going for another car ride tomorrow morning, and I will try to remember to take my camera! ha!!
Night folks... thanks for understanding~

The weather really cooled off fast!

Sunday the 25th, the weather was much cooler than it had been and the pups were really frisky!

Thankfully Brandy loves to play with them too - so there were two pups per dogs~

My friend Wayne stopped over and this photo struck me as amusing - they were all just gazing out over the back "wilderness"...

Love the difference in color... Nina is in foreground, Suzhi behind her (more red) and of course, you know Gemma is my black jewel...

Ha ha... the trouble with having so many puppies - not enough hands and laps to spread around~

Sunday the 25th...

Saturday was a busy day for me - lots of laundry to catch up on and I was tired, to boot. I had gone to bed early and the pups woke me in the night to go outside. I did not feel like going out - (-5 and windy - windchill about -15) so I took the easy way and just let them "use" the deck...

Well, I will spare you the image of what I woke to - Guess they had not wanted to use the deck as their outdoor toilet, but prefered to do it inside where it was warm! First time they have done that in ages - I had not secured the pen tight enough when they came back in (sleep can do that to you) and they had been running all over my house, playing - boots drug to other side of the room, laundry tugged off of the couch, where I had piled it as I folded and I just never had the energy to put it away ... sigh...

Puppies will be puppies!

Who me??

Surely you don't mean me??

I would never do that Mom!

After I had cleaned up the floor and clutter - I looked over and guess who had made herself comfy in the laundry pile! lol

Didn't have the heart to make her move... so I just sat down with a coffee and watched her have a sleep... Life is good!!

March 24th

Nothing like the curiosity of a little pup!

Amber has sooo much fun playing with her babies...

Suzhi and Gemma

Ziggy has an eye on those geese again!

Hmmm - can I get up on this chair??

The pups were really enjoying the bluejays flying down to snatch the peanuts...

How do we catch that bird?? Gemma, Nina and Ziggy

Chris came to visit...

My son got a haircut and now the puppy looks scruffy - not him! lol

Seriously though - Nina does need a little trim - if only I could find a quiet moment when I had nothing to do. Hard work to take care of three dogs and four puppies...

Taken on March 23rd

Wow! I am getting so far behind... This is the pups favorite place to play!

Except maybe playing with Momma!!

Gemma - she steals my heart more every day!

The "wild" garden behind my home...

A little touch of spring for you~

Hmmm... what are you guys up to now??

What on earth do you have??

Oh! You imps!! Guess I left a roll of toilet paper down where they could reach it~ lol

I had left it on the top of the wooden boxes... too tempting to ignore~ ha ha!
