Oh, how my girls love to run!
Amber - in her hair-blowing glory...
Even Brandy had the windswept look...

The side of Bella that I see the most of! lol

Flying down the road!

Can you see double??

Kind of hard to tell, but two of Amber's children joined us for a walk.

Merlin (AKA Tobi) stands out in the crowd, but can you pick out Halley?

Sorry that all you get are butt ends, but they were not the least bit interested in co-operating with my picture-taking!

It is actually amazing how much Halley looks and acts like her Mom! Hope to get some better shots next time they visit!

Look what I woke to on the morning of 23 April!
The poor pansies were rather crushed...
The arctic willow was bowed right over by the weight of the wet snow...

The curly witch hazel was a pretty sight...
Bella was enjoying the drizzly rain~
Ah! My Bella's eyes sure brighten when she is out having fun!
It's so nice to see all the green returning! ;-)
Anyone know what this plant is called?  Pretty, eh?
They are never excited when it is time to head back to the car... lol

A Walk in the Forest

Trying to figure out how to use the new format blogger has imposed upon me here... Forgive the "mess" till I can figure it all out~
The girls and I went for a nice walk in the woods back on the 22nd of April
Amber and Bella leave Brandy and I in their dust!
Don't know why it is that kicking their feet up in the forest is just so much fun!
I spend most of my time just enjoying the peace and quiet...
and all the interesting smells, patterns and colors~
We could (and usually do) walk in there for hours...

Running on high speed!

Good Lord but these girls had energy to burn!

Even Brandy was taking to the wild side!

Of course, Bella was way out front!
I do so love her spirit, but it exhausts me too somedays~
The girls were running around in the long grass again, on the way back to the car...
Man they were just full of it!!
So, better to be safe than sorry, I leashed them long before we got near the road! Funny how fast a leash will slow them down...

Group Photos...

Yeah... right! Just try to get three dogs to all look my direction, at the same time, when out at a place like this... Not going to happen! But, at least they were all up on the stone at the same time... lol

Now this is my Bella!!

She and Amber were enjoying the view from a little higher angle for a while...

Then they saw a sandpiper and we off chasing!

The "prize" Bella brought me back... (actually, she had it clamped in her teeth and was not giving it up for the world... lol) Yuck!

How they love to play~

You can usually tell Brandy, cuz she stays on the path more, while the others frolic in the bushes, grass and weeds - trying to get burrs and ticks... (kidding, but they do catch them, on ocvcassion)

Face into the wind, to enjoy all those "fun" scents, from farmer's fields... (yuck!)

Amber saw a duck out on the pond...

Can YOU see it? It is a tiny speck, way on the other side, to the right a bit... I used the telephoto lens to look at what they were engrossed in... that's how I know...

Interesting to find things that actually cause them to stay still for so long outdoors...

Getting our minds off things...

I decided that if the girls were feeling half as bad as I did, we all needed to go for a good walk. They enjoy that so much that I just can't stay sad...

So, I took them in to the rock quarry...

They don't really care where I take them, as long as they get a chance to run around and see new spaces...

Tough to tell Bella and Brandy apart again (for you that is) I'll bet...

Bella is "usually" the one who is "out front" or posing... the "all about ME girl!" Although their hair is short now, she still has darker hair on her back than Brandy (who is pretty white in comparison - funny since she started so brown, as a puppy)

Thursday the 19th...

I was trying to see if Daisy was ready to skiup her nighttime potty break, so I put a pad in her pen and figured she would use it, if she needed to go. Well, she slept through no problem... BUT -this is what I woke up to... Ha! New toy!!

Such an innocent little face... an imp inside though. Gotta say - I LOVE Lhasas with spunk and personality - and she has it - in spades!

Speaking of personality... Bella did not look the least bit happy with me, for leaving her on the grooming table, while I took a few pictures... lol Hmmm... maybe she is not pleased that I hacked off her beautiful hair!

The other "kids" were busy having a good play on their comforter... it is usually in my car, for them to snuggle into, but needed shaking out (after all that sand) and they claimed it for outdoors... sunning on it!

The pictures just do not do justice to the playing... good thing I took a video!
