Playing in the Rain

Took the pups out to a local field and let them play around with the big dogs and a ball on Monday . Unfortunately, it rained and the rain kept getting on my lens, but I'm still going to post these photos, cuz the pups sure had fun!

Amber is the one who really enjoys the balls...

Bella was not a happy camper, to be left out of the fun, but she growled at the pups, so away she went. Can't tolerate bad behaviour! That's Amber making sure she could not get out.

The pups were really enjoying the rain and wind and the big playground!

Lots of interesting smells too...

Once they all started slowing down, I decided to take them back to the car...

Ha ha... then the race was on!

In the Ball Pen...

Ziggy and Nina don't look too happy to be "stuck" on that side of the fencing, but it sure makes playing ball with them easier... The fence stops the balls that roll back down the ramp, when I throw them up and they chase after them...

Bella sure enjoys being able to roam in the yard again... and Amber wants in to play ball too...

Hmmm... told you they were easily distracted - ha ha... Stepped back to take a few pictures and tehy were busy getting into mischief!

Time for Suzhi to leave...

On Friday the 6th of April, Teri came, with her friend Norm, to pick up her new girl...

The dogs were a little afraid of Norm's hat for a while - will have to remember to do some more "socializing" with my girls! It has been a long time since they had seen anyone with a ball cap on...

Now doesn't Suzhi look so much better all bathed up and trimmed, ready to go home? Her new name will be Jasmine... pretty, like her!

I just put this picture in so you can see what the atmosphere is like after a puppy departs... Don't think it is just Amber and I who miss them! ;-(

5 April 12

While we were busy cuddling dogs, this was going on, at the other couch...

Brandy was up on the sofa eating a cookie and Suzhi decided she wanted it...

Then Ziggy came over to "help" too...

Next thing I knew, Nina was over "helping" too...

Ha ha... and you just knew what came next, didn't you? That big tease Brandy turned to face them and actually sat her bottom on the armrest to finish the cookie since she was comfortable that they could not get up and get her... Just you wait Brandy - won't be long now!!

5 April 12 - Nina's visitors

Nina's new owners live down in Toronto. They are leaving on a pre-booked holiday this weekend, so Nina will stay with me till they come back to pick her up on the 20th. But, they could not wait that long to see her and came up for a visit - sweet, eh?!

Barb was wishing she had an extra pair of hands... ha ha

Jerry and Aaron snuck in a cuddle with Suzhi too~

When Barb was cuddling Nina, I would swear it was like the others were saying "me too, me too!!"

Ha ha... Nina! How she loves to nibble at ears!

Aaron was happy with any puppy - who wouldn't be?? They all love their cuddles!

I am so happy that all the pups have such great homes to go to. They have so much to bring to the new families and it is so rewarding to see how the new families already respond to them!

Ha ha... so does it look like she is making herself at home?? ha ha...

That's what I love to see - big smiles on the people's faces - that is exactly why and how I can do this...

Wednesday April 4th

The girls sure get a lot of enjoyment out of playing with this cat tunnel! Nina was just digging away at it!

It makes a fun toy, plus a great little sleeping space! lol Notice Gemma sneaking in there??

Ziggy spends a lot of time watching my every move... smart as a whip that one!

Then we went outdoors to play ball for a while.

Even the rain does not dampen their enthusiasm for this game!

Oh, but how we love the return of the sunshine!

The last from the 3rd of March

Nina was playing with something, but I could not tell what...

Till I got closer - ha ha... looked like vampire teeth, but it really is some of Brandy's hair, from the garden! Silly girl!

It was a nice relaxing afternoon - we all needed.

Getting Dirty - doing nothing!

This time of year is dusty and dirty, till I get the yard and gardens cleaned up. I never worry about the gardens while there are pups around. They will wait - and grow back, if they get trampled upon. The pups need the exercise and attention. Seems like they just sit around collecting leaves and stones in their fur though! lol

The wind has been pretty strong lately and that is really making the pup's eyes water...

Of course, the dirt and dust and leaves are all tracking into the house... but, it too cleans so they never get a hard time about it...

But, see what I mean - they are all just sitting around (for a few minutes anyway ;-)

Hmmm... well, maybe not all of them... lol! Someone is in the gardens again...

Ha ha... yeah - and digging! lol

If you enlarge this, you will see what I mean about the fur always getting dirty. At the end of the day, I wash their faces with a baby wipe, then down their body and legs, then their butt ends... Makes them smell pretty and gets the worst of the dust and dirt off and sure saves on baths!
