Oh No!!

I'm in love...

I am going to be in trouble when it is time for this little man to leave... His eyes look right into my soul!

Oh, and how about my sleepy baby back there... stretch!

They are ALL so darn cute - all stumbly and bumbly - but sure getting strong legs from all the obstacles I leave in their way...

Amber is spoiling me too... She cleans up after every feeding still!

Getting Around Pretty Good Now...

The babes get around pretty well now and love to play with each other...

They are getting pretty good at eating and doing their business as well - proud of them!

Course, in all their haste to eat, they get kind of excited and step in everything...lol

And boy, do they know instantly when Momma enters the pen!

It's a race to the milk bar!

More about Names and Videos

Quick note here... These names I am calling the puppies do not have to be permanent - just something I will use to refer to specific pups for people. Thank you to those who have already sent me suggestions... Please do not feel shy folks - if one of them strikes you as a specific name... chime in!

Sorry for the delay in posting pictures today - my son is here visiting and I have been spending some time with him. He took all the adult dogs out for a good run and I had the chance to review all the videos I have shot, finally. I will start uploading a bunch of them today. Will post a link for you to help you find them, after they have finished uploading...

The babes are three weeks old now and the fun is really starting - my Lord but they are cute! They all had their nails and foot hair trimmed the past few nights.
Nails because they sure get tough on Amber - they are sharp, like kitten's claws... and need to be trimmed weekly when they are nursing and not wearing the sharp points down.
Foot hair, because I like them to have as much traction as possible when the are learning to walk - not be slipping on hair that has grown over the pads.
This also helps them get used to being touched by humans and to being groomed. When the purchasers pick up their pups, I take the time to show them how to do this - it's quite simple really and the pups will be used to it. As long as the new owners carry on with the things I will teach them, they should never have any grooming problems in the future...

More pictures will be coming soon - just have to wait for the time consuming video upload that is in process to finish...

More Lhasa Apso Snackbar photos...

Amber keeps a close watch on those babes of hers, no matter what they are up to.

Brandy and Bella were really curious, so I let them up on the chair to watch.

The little ones really dug in here...

Momma had gone in to the bed and was busy feeding some of the others...

A sure sign of puppies in heaven - the tightly held little tails...

Lhasa Apso Dining room~

Don't think Amber is too pleased about them learning to eat puppy food, but she is really going to appreciate a little less work for her!

The pups are learning fast... and each has its own style to eat - this is the hands on approach on the left and the bobbing approach on the right... lol

Then they rock back on their cute little butts and lick it off their face... ha ha

Some like the "mush" while others prefer the soggy pellets...

ha ha... and others just have to get right into this! They remind me of children playing in mud puddles... squishing it through their toes!

Names...

Okay folks... The puppies are three weeks old now and it was suggested to me that it was time to name my little treasures, so people can tell them apart easier.

Feel free to send me any suggestions that you have for names and I will try to post pictures of each puppy, complete with a name by the time they turn 4 weeks old.

No 1 is the B&W boy
No 2 is the brown and white boy
No 3 is the solid gold girl, with a white stripe on forehead
No 4 is the solid red girl
No 5 is the solid black girl
No 6 is the girl with the white diamond between her shoulder blades
No 7 is the girl with the shawl (triangle) between her shoulder blades
No 8 is the gold girl with the white spot between her shoulder blades

My son is coming for the weekend, so I will get him to take all the dogs for a walk on Saturday, (so that I can review the videos without upsetting Amber) and then I can get a bunch of those posted up on You Tube as well... that might help with the names... wait till you see how much they have changed!
Hard to believe how much they change in just one short week! Check out the legs in the coming pictures - the hair is really growing now.
Along with nails having to be clipped, now I am trimming the hair on their feet too, so they have good traction of pads touching the ground, not sliding on hairy feet! lol
Not a subject I will dwell upon, but I was happy to see a bunch of them using the back end of the pen and going to the bathroom without Momma's help now... ;-) Makes more work for me, but takes extra pressure off of poor Amber - She is one busy Momma!

Playing Around...

The pups still enjoy their feeding time at Momma's Milk Bar...

They are starting to stay awake longer afterwards though...

So darn cute to watch them playing with Momma afterwards...

It is mostly just batting at her hair, or patting at her right now, though I have noticed lots of mouthing of each other already and a few trying to catch tails...

Never really lasts long yet, but they are changing fast...
