The transition...

They can go from starving fiends...

to sleeping sweeties in just a few seconds.

They twist and turn even in their sleep...

Kind of like a dance that only they know the steps to...

Thankfully, they do not seem to mind if they get feet in their faces,

Or get stepped all over or just laid upon!

Then crash pretty hard when they have full tummies!

And fall asleep "at the wheel" so to speak...

Yes - I could watch them for hours...

It is so special to see the bonding between the Moms and their pups...

  1. Is it my imagination or does one of the little white puppies (I THINK it's the male) have a bit darker tone around the face with a lighter stripe on its' head and back? Must be exhausting for Amber with all those little mouths to feed!

  2. Oh yes - Amber gets worn right out some days... good thing she likes to eat!
The pups definitely have pigment changes in their hair, nose and feet going on. This is very natural. Most are born with pink noses and foot pads, and if you watch in the pictures you will notice the changes as they slowly turn black. As for the hair - this will be a constant thing. Hormones affect the hair color (Bella's hair was growing in lighter while she was pregnant and nursing) Brandy started out as a brown and now is more cream colored. I think the white pups will develop some reddish tones, with the bright white areas staying really white. Both the male and the female have the whiter markings.
