But gosh - they were having fun and with the kind of heat we are having, I just could not give them a hard time about getting cool (and dirty)

White puppies sure show the dirt, eh?! *giggle*

Little Cassie was a mucky mess!! Ah well... it was me who had to bath them... so I guess I can let them get dirty. My way of looking at the mess is - the gardens will grow back, the pups are happy and having a ball... and it is only a few minutes work to make them clean again...
