Leanne knows how important it is to spend time bonding with the dogs before heading into the den to see the puppies... They sure were happy to see her!
Cindy is so helpful - she was keeping great care of the pups while I trimmed my dogs nails and foot pad hair. With three dogs and eight pups, the extra hands are very welcome!
The smaller pups keep getting pushed off the nipples by the larger ones, so we gave them some private nursing time. Invariably, with eight pups and eight nipples, there is a constant struggle to get the nipples that they prefer...
The pups are no worse the wear for having their nails trimmed - sure saves Momma's tummy a lot of scratching! Plus, it gets them well used to having their feet handled. I teach people how to take care of the feet when they come to pick up their pupopy.
I could stare at these little sweeties all day!
They are so sweet and angelic at this stage... just wait - a few weeks from now, I will be calling them holy terrors! lol
They are wiggling around really good now, but still have to take lots of time out for naps..
And they are in pure heaven when they find the milk bar unattended! lol
