Once a month, I get together with a bunch of girlfriends and play a game called bunco. The hostess this month lives about an hour and a half drive from my place, out in the country. What a beautiful area! She did not have any problem with my bringing the pups for the day, so I packed them up in the van and away we went... Gotta say, the first five minutes of the car ride are still pretty "musical" ha ha... but they DO settle, if you let them cry through it.
My friend Lesley came with me, in the van and we stopped once - just to let the puppies go to the washroom and then they were fine for the rest of the way. I took Amber, to keep them "corralled", as they have yet to be on a leash and carrying them all is dangerous - they can wiggle and fall so easily! She set off to take some things into the house and the pups all followed her like the Pied Piper!
Worked well, until she stopped to ask me if it was okay... ha ha
Then they get tangled under foot. This happens so easily! When walking with little pups around, you almost have to take sliding steps, to avoid accidentally "kicking" them across the room! You really need to stay conscious of where they are, or they can trip you real easy too!
We set them all up in the laundry/powder room that had a direct access to outdoors. Handy! Beds, food, water, potty area and toys - what more could they want?
Ah! The love and affection! There were sixteen ladies there so they got lots of that, for sure!
