Lhasas have hair, like people, not fur... and they need special care to ensure they are kept in good condition. These are my favorite brushes - Long pins, with no safety tips. They are not easy to find, but they are on sale right now, in the flyer I sent to my "puppy people" earlier today. I get them from Ren's Pet Supply (on-line ordering) but many other store carry them, or can order them for you.
The brushes with the safety balls at the end of the pins are good for fur, but for long haired dogs, you will be tearing the hair if it catches on an end. Never brush a Lhasa without using conditioning spray, (next topic) if you wish to keep the hair long and luxurious.
